Neue Freischwimmen-Positionen gesucht!

Im Rahmen von Freischwimmen produzieren Künstler*innen und Gruppen an einem Partner*innenhaus und werden dabei mit einem Koproduktionsbeitrag in Höhe von 12.000 Euro gefördert. Sie lernen die anderen Künstler*innen und die Ansprechpartner*innen aller Häuser im Netzwerk im Rahmen eines LABs kennen. Zudem haben sie die Möglichkeit, zwei Residenzen und ein Gastspiel an weiteren Freischwimmen-Theatern zu realisieren. Freischwimmen strebt ein biennales Festival an wechselnden Orten an, das je nach Format und Möglichkeiten eine Auswahl oder alle im Rahmen von Freischwimmen produzierten Arbeiten zeigt. Darüber hinaus fördert das Netzwerk den kontinuierlichen Austausch von Wissen und Erfahrungen zwischen allen Beteiligten und ermöglicht Schulungen, Coaching-Formate und Workshops zum Arbeiten in der Freien Szene mit Fokus auf machtkritische Fragestellungen und Aspekte von Diskriminierungssensibilität und Nachhaltigkeit.
Freischwimmen ist eine Produktionsplattform für Performance und Theater, getragen durch brut Wien, FFT Düsseldorf, Gessnerallee Zürich, HochX München, LOFFT – DAS THEATER Leipzig, Schwankhalle Bremen, SOPHIENSÆLE Berlin und Theater Rampe Stuttgart. Das im Verbindungen-fördern-Programm des BFDK geförderte Netzwerk möchte Künstler*innen und Gruppen bereits in einem frühen Stadium ihrer Laufbahn ermöglichen, sich sowohl lokal als auch überregional und international zu verankern und zu vernetzen. Damit soll Raum für Experimente entstehen, der möglichst vom Erwartungsdruck an schnell produzierte Stücke befreit und eine langfristige Unterstützung und Zusammenarbeit ermöglicht.
Künstler*innen werden mit ausgearbeiteten Projektvorhaben, aber auch mit ersten Projektideen ins Netzwerk aufgenommen und eineinhalb Jahre lang gefördert (Sommer/Herbst 2022 bis Ende 2023). Ihre Produktionen entstehen mit einem der Partner*innenhäuser. Unterstützt durch die Häuser und den Freischwimmen-Koproduktionsbeitrag bewerben sie sich jeweils für lokale Förderung und müssen deshalb einen Wohnsitz im Umfeld des Hauses haben, an dem sie sich bewerben.
Wer kann sich bei LOFFT – DAS THEATER bewerben?
Künstler*innen mit Arbeitsmittelpunkt und Meldeadresse in Sachsen, die sich eher am Anfang ihrer Laufbahn befinden bzw. in neuen Konstellationen zusammenarbeiten, aber bereits mindestens eine gemeinsame Produktion vorweisen können. Die Projektvorhaben/-ideen sollten sich dem Bereich Performance oder Theater zuordnen lassen, und Arbeitserfahrung in diesem Feld sollte bestehen. Ein entsprechender Ausbildungshintergrund wird nicht vorausgesetzt. Nach Absprache versuchen wir Kosten für den Abbau von Zugangsbarrieren für Künstler*innen zu übernehmen.
Wie könnt Ihr Euch bewerben?
Wir bitten um eine Kurzvorstellung auf maximal 2 A4-Seiten im PDF-Format, die folgende Fragen/ Angaben berücksichtigt:
Name und Kontakt der Künstler*in oder Gruppe, wie viele Personen seid ihr und wo lebt ihr? Seit wann arbeitet ihr zusammen? Welche Zugangsvoraussetzungen braucht ihr, um gut arbeiten zu können? Wie arbeitet ihr untereinander, wie arbeitet ihr am liebsten? Anhand welcher Produktion können wir uns ein Bild eurer Arbeit machen (nach Möglichkeit Videolink zu einem Mitschnitt und/ oder Portfolio)? Was war eure letzte Produktion? Hattet ihr für eine eurer letzten Produktionen Projektförderung? Wo? Woran arbeitet ihr gerade, habt ihr ein konkretes Projektvorhaben oder eine Projektidee, die ihr kurz beschreiben könnt (bei konkreten Vorhaben bitte mit grobem Zeitplan und Angaben, wo Antragsstellungen geplant sind, ein ausführliches Konzept und Budget kann, wenn vorhanden, mitgeschickt werden)? Welche Erwartungen habt ihr ans Netzwerk? Was braucht ihr in eurer jetzigen Situation, was nicht? Gibt es Häuser im Netzwerk, die euch für Residenzen besonders interessieren? Warum? Was hat euch in letzter Zeit besonders begeistert? Was wollt ihr uns ansonsten über euch und eure Arbeit mitteilen?

Open Call for Freischwimmen Network 2022-23
New Freischwimmen positions wanted!
As part of Freischwimmen, artists and groups produce and present at a partner venue and visit at least one other venues of the network for a guest performance and, if needed, at least two venues for a residency. They are supported with a co-production grant. They get to know the other artists and the contact persons of all theaters in the network through a LAB at one of the partner venues. Freischwimmen aims at a biennial festival at varying locations which, depending on format and possibilities, shows all of the works produced within the framework of Freischwimmen or a selection of them. In addition, the network promotes the continuous exchange of knowledge and experience between all participants and facilitates training, coaching formats and workshops on working in the independent scene with a focus on power-critical issues and aspects of discrimination sensitivity and sustainability.
Freischwimmen is a production platform for performance and theatre, supported by the venues brut Wien, FFT Düsseldorf, Gessnerallee Zürich, HochX München, LOFFT – DAS THEATER Leipzig, Schwankhalle Bremen, SOPHIENSÆLE Berlin und Theater Rampe Stuttgart. The network aims to enable artists and groups at an early stage of their careers to establish and network both locally and internationally. The aim is to create space for experimentation, freeing as much as possible from the pressure of expectations for quickly produced pieces and to facilitate long-term development on the part of the partner theaters.
Artists are admitted to the network with developed project plans, but also with initial project ideas. They are supported in the network for a year and a half (summer/autumn 2022 to the end of 2023). Their productions are realized with one of the partner venues. Supported by the theaters and the Freischwimmen co-production grant, they apply for local funding and must therefore have a residence in the vicinity of the theater to which they are applying.
Who can apply to LOFFT – DAS THEATER?
Artists based in Saxony who are in the early stages of their career (or work in new artistic collaborations) with at least one production already completed. The project plans/ideas should be in the field of performance or theatre, and work experience in this field is prerequisite. An appropriate educational background is not required. By arrangement, we try to cover access and care costs for artists.
How can you apply?
We request a short introduction on a maximum of 2 A4 pages in one PDF file, which takes the following questions / details into account:
Name and contact of the group, how many people are you and where do you live? How long have you been working together? What are your access requirements in order to work well? How do you work with each other, how do you prefer to work? With which production can we get an idea of your work (if possible, with a video link to a recording and/or portfolio)? What was your last production? Did you have project funding for one of your last productions? Where? What are you currently working on, do you have a particular project or project idea that you can briefly describe (for specific projects, please include a rough timetable and details of where applications are planned, a detailed concept and budget, if available, can be sent along)? What do you expect from the network? What do you need in your current situation, what do you not need? Are there theaters in the network that you are particularly interested in? Why? What has been particularly exciting to you lately? What else would you like to tell us about you and your work?
